Ann Belchyk, age 98, died on Friday May 19, 2017 at Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster, NY. Born to the late Anna (Kalinak) and John Sarich on January 27, 1919 in Waterbury, Connecticut. she moved to Yonkers in 1928. She graduated from the Yonkers High School of Commerce in 1937 and was a member of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Yonkers. Ann Belchyk, age 98, died on Friday May 19, 2017 at Putnam Ridge Nursing Home in Brewster, NY. Born to the late Anna (Kalinak) and John Sarich on January 27, 1919 in Waterbury, Connecticut. she moved to Yonkers in 1928. She graduated from the Yonkers High School of Commerce in 1937 and was a member of the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in Yonkers. Married to the late Max Belchyk on November 27, 1947, he pre-deceased her on February 21, 1974. Prior to moving to West Harrison in 1980, she was employed by the Yonkers Office for the Aging. She also did volunteer work for Yonkers Family Services. Surviving is her brother; Andrew Sarich of Altha, Florida. She was predeceased by her brother Peter Sarich of Yonkers in 2014, and her two sisters Mary Birdsall in 2012 and Eva Sarich of West Harrison in 2002. Her father predeceased her in 1972 and her mother in 1997 at the age of 103. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday morning only 9-10am. Funeral Service will be held in Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church on Monday May 22nd at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
